What were you doing prior to working at the Change Organisation?
Before joining the company, I had recently left school after completing my GCSEs. This was one of my first opportunities and where I really began building my career.
How has your role changed or evolved since joining?
I originally started in MSA, from there, I moved through several different departments across the business, including warehouse operations, the e-commerce side of the business, and eventually into purchasing. Being able to move across different areas of the company has allowed me to gain experience in multiple aspects of the business and continue progressing internally.
What elements about your role in particular and the company in general do you enjoy most?
One of the things I value most is the level of trust and responsibility the company gives its people. When the business puts that trust in you, it naturally motivates you to work hard, take ownership and deliver results. I really enjoy having that responsibility, as well as the opportunities to develop and progress within the company.
There is also a strong sense of openness across the business. People are approachable, communication between departments is encouraged, and there is a genuine willingness to support one another. This creates a strong team environment where people are encouraged to work together and see each other succeed.
What factors do you feel we employ to differentiate ourselves from other companies?
I think the biggest differentiator is the way the company brings people together. There is a genuine effort to create strong relationships through social events, trips and activities outside of the usual working environment, which creates a much more connected workplace.
There is also a real sense of openness across the business. People are approachable, departments don't feel overly separated, and there is a strong willingness to support one another. It creates a team mentality where people genuinely want to see those around them succeed.
Ultimately, I think it's that combination of a strong working environment, genuine relationships and a shared sense of being part of the same team that sets the company apart from many other workplaces.
What's been the most significant change or development in the business since your time here?
The biggest change has definitely been the overall size and scale of the business. Originally, the company was spread across a couple of units on the business park, and over time it expanded into multiple separate units across the site. Moving into the current building and bringing everyone together under one roof was a major step forward. It completely changed the feel of the business and made everything much more connected and unified. Another significant development has been the continued growth across departments and the investment into different areas of the company.
What do you see for the future?
I see continued growth and progression for the business, alongside even stronger relationships across the company. One of the organisation’s biggest strengths is the way everyone comes together when challenges arise. The business is able to adapt quickly, while people support one another and work collectively to find solutions and keep things moving forward.
I believe that this flexibility, resilience and strong team mentality will continue to play an important role in the company’s future growth and success.
