Modern Slavery Statement

1.      Introduction

This statement is written in accordance with s.54of the Modern Slavery Act 2015 for the 2023/2024 financial year. This statement sets out the steps that The Change Organisation Limited has taken, and is continuing to take, to ensure that modern slavery or human trafficking is not taking place in any area of our business or supply chain.

Modern slavery encompasses slavery, servitude,human trafficking and forced labour. The Change Organisation Limited has a zero-tolerance approach to any form of modern slavery and, as outlined in this statement, will take all appropriate actions to assist in the abolition of modern slavery. We are committed to acting ethically, with integrity and with transparency in all business dealings and we have put effective systems and controls in place to safeguard against any form of modern slavery taking place within our business or supply chain.

 

2.     Our Business

The Change Organisation Limited is a UK IT Hardware and Software Distributor. We purchase, sell and deliver products through both online and telephone sales.

We have close, stable and longstanding relationships with our suppliers and our senior leadership within Buying and Supply Chain visit our suppliers on a regular basis.

 

3.     Our Suppliers

We operate a supplier policy and maintain a preferred supplier list. We conduct due diligence on all suppliers before allowing them to become a preferred supplier.New suppliers are made aware of our Modern Slavery Statement and are expected to adhere to the contents and standards of the statement. Our Modern Slavery Statement is also published on our website for existing suppliers.

We have long standing relationships with both our suppliers and shipping providers and work closely with all parties to monitor compliance with our Anti- Slavery Statement.

 

4.     Operations

We strive to act with integrity and transparency at all times and we operate a number of internal policies to assist in safe guarding against human rights infringements including: Recruitment Policy,Health and Safety Policy, Equal Opportunities Policy and Disciplinary Rules and Procedures.

We actively encourage colleagues to report any unethical practices either internally or externally to the business including suppliers. All reports are taken extremely seriously and are fully investigated.

We have procedures in place to protect our own employees from unfair treatment and promote a fair and inclusive workplace.

 

5.     Risk Assessment & Due Diligence

The Board of Directors have overall responsibility for corporate governance, including any anti-slavery initiatives.  We acknowledge there is a risk of exposure to modern slavery in our supply chain. The Change Organisation Limited recognises that the commitment to a zero-tolerance policy to human rights abuse is a continual journey and we will continue to assess the effectiveness of our programme through internal and external audits, as well as update this policy and our procedures where it is appropriate to do so.

 

6.     Training

As part of our efforts to help associates make the right ethical decisions in their day-to-day professional activities. The Change Organisation Limited regularly trains its workforce focused on essential compliance principles.

 

7.     Breaches of this policy

Any employee who breaches this policy will face disciplinary action, which could result in dismissal for misconduct or gross misconduct.

We may terminate our relationship with other individuals and organisations working on our behalf if they breach this policy.
