An Interview With Lorna Bowman

Tell us what you do for a living.

I am a Purchasing Assistant/Tea maker.

Why are you the right person for this job?

I understand the importance of attention to detail, preforming tasks in a time effective manner and I work well under the pressure of the sales team.

What gets you up in the morning?

The thought of spending another day with Bobby, that and my alarm going off for the third time.

Who helped you get to where you are today?

My mum, for years she worked nights whilst bringing up 5 children on her own. I think strength, determination and work ethic has rubbed off on us all.

What’s running on your smartphone?

Snapchat and Facebook

Tell us something most people do not know about you?

I’m scared of flying and being in confined spaces

What goal do you have to achieve before you die, and why?

I want to do a sky dive to raise money/awareness of mental health illnesses in memory of a close friend.

What is the best book you’ve ever read?

It has to be The Hunger Games, I read all three books in a couple of weeks

And the best film you’ve ever seen?

Any of the Fast and Furious films, I couldn’t pick a favourite

What would be your Desert Island MP3s?

Enrique Iglesias- Hero, I like to think I can hit the high notes

What temptation can you not resist?

Going shopping, I’ve filled up another chest of draws since working at The Change

What was your first car and how does it compare with what you drive now?

My little 06 Corsa, I’ve only been driving for 2 months and don’t think I can be trusted with anything of higher value.

If you could be any animal for a day, what would you be and why?

A sloth, it would involve sleeping all day and minimal exercise.

If you could take part in one event in the Olympics, which would you choose and why?The

It would have to be the Bobsleigh, is looks like the only fun sport and it involves minimal effort

If you were facing awesome peril and impossible odds, which real or fictional person would you most want on your side and why?

Captain America, I know he’d look after me, and he’s not too bad to look at.

Who was the last person you hugged and why?

My mum, unwillingly on her behalf. I’m making the most of my last few days being the baby of the family.

Have you ever met anyone famous, if so how?, if not who would you like to meet?

I haven’t met anyone famous, I spend most of my time asleep when I’m not at work…I’d like to meet Ed Sheeran, he could sing to me whilst I play Simpsons Road Rage on my pink PS2
